Spring Yard Cleanup "Day of Caring"
The Strongsville Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals are working with the Strongsville VFW to assist local veterans get their house ready for spring. We are looking for volunteers to provide spring yard cleanup at two homes in the community. This consists of basic yard cleanup such as pulling weeds, laying mulch, trimming shrubs, raking leaves and picking up sticks. Spring yard cleanup is usually done in April or early May depending on when the weather breaks. The Day of Caring is a day when volunteers choose to give their time and services to work on a one-time service project in an effort to impact our local veteran’s with tasks that they are unable to perform themselves. This event is an opportunity to give the gift of time, and the Day of Caring is truly a time when volunteers understand that together, they do what matters and help to build a stronger community.
Please contact the Chamber if you are interested in volunteering.
